Summer trips are best spent with a few lightweight pieces in a bag. Linen is built for travel, breathable, unfussy and better with wear. It washes easily in the sink and dries quickly. Pack it small, hang it up overnight and wear it in the morning. It adapts naturally from casual to considered, depending on what you pair it with.
Washing & Temperature Tips
Treat linen gently. A quick cycle in cool water, or a hand wash with a gentle detergent. We’ve been using Dirt’s Gentle Wool & Delicate Wash here, it’s soft on fibres and works well for natural fabrics.
Avoid wringing after washing. Instead, roll the garment in a clean towel to remove excess water, then reshape and hang to dry. This helps prevent stretching and warping
Stain Removal & Spot Care
Got a spill? Blot gently with cold water (don’t rub) using a clean cloth. Treat early with a suitable stain remover to help prevent stains from setting.
Drying, Ironing & Storage
For linen’s natural texture, shake out while damp and hang in the shade to dry to help reduce shrinkage and fading.
If you prefer a crispier finish, iron while slightly damp on a low heat setting. Store in a cool, dry space to maintain shape. For travel, roll linen instead of folding to reduce hard crease lines and save space.
Longevity Tips
Rotate your pieces, avoid over-washing or overloading the washing machine, and let them air-dry where possible. These small rituals help preserve the fibres, so your linen softens and gets better with time.
