In an exploration of tension and resistance, Kloke has collaborated with filmmaker Antuong Nguyen and choreographer Yahna Fookes to capture an intimate dialogue between two young women. The work studies the bodies’ ability to meet the demands of external expectation to the detriment and loss of oneself—a study of strength and effort; pushing to procure. The camera is seen as a somatic extension of the body as it effortlessly weaves and follows the lines of the dancers, whilst the harrowing soundtrack by Sam Gill allows for full immersion.
